Sisters

I drew this for a pair of sisters I know. The two girls are just the cutest things, so when I found out they loved Disney princesses, I knew I just had to draw them this as a gift for their room!

I was told very carefully that one's favourite princess was Aurora, and that her favourite colours were lime green and yellow, while the other's favourite princess was Belle and her favourite colours were pink and purple. (I was told this several times, haha.) Those four colours are also the colours of their room, so I thought this would match nicely.

Not colours I would normally pick, being more of a "winter" colour person myself, but I guess everyone needs their comfort zones stretched! Not to mention I had never ever attempted to draw Aurora before, given that she is far from my favourite princess...but she was actually way more fun than Belle to draw. So many defining characteristics, like her eyes, pointed nose and gorgeous shiny hair. I hope I was able to capture all that! (Many references were used...) And I also decided she was just a peeptoe kinda gal!

I also wanted to design them new dresses, but keep the feel of the old dresses since their colours were so radically different. I hope I succeeded.

And omigosh, is that an...actually drawn background?!? Well, almost...man, I hate backgrounds. xPP

So, here's to my two new girls...I hope you find lots of love, peace and happiness in your new home, and that we get lots of shopping time in before I leave for college! And also that you don't feel too swamped living in a house with 5 other boys...
